This is my pitiful little attempt at the right of a picture of the eclipse last night!
We went out on the deck a little after 10 pm and were able to see it clearly. It was (as my Daddy used to say) cold as a witch’s tit so we didn’t stay out for the complete coverall but it was clear so we caught part of it.
The mail lady brought an early present yesterday. I had asked for the punch needle kit and book on my wish list and friends Darlene and Mike, who are in Long Island this week, had them sent to me. I am excited to pick up the book and learn a new skill. They also got me another Dire Straits CD. I confess I opened them early but I had a legitimate excuse which I e-mailed to my friends.
To increase the size of our music library Jay went into Wal Marts and picked up the Eagles’ Long Road Out Of Eden. After our appointment with the Tax Man this afternoon I plan on playing both CDs and enjoying them fully.
We were looking for both sons to bring their families up on Saturday but illness may have canceled one group out. We are waiting to hear from them. Sunday Sweet thing, daughter Cindy, and David hope to be up. I hope so too.
Yes tomorrow is the day--more about that then!
