Yesterday I spent dead heading the early blooming plants like the Daffodils and the Hyacinths but as you can see the Tulips are merrily waving in the breeze.
One Tulip found a resting place at the base of the Rose of Sharon just out side my bedroom window.
Sadly a particularly hard rain with windy conditions really battered my Bleeding Heart.
My next door neighbor Phyllis’ plant suffered the same damage and she suggested that I cut where the stem had broken in hope of saving the plant. I also did that yesterday.
Now the Flowering Quince had gone from this.
To this and is a delight to behold.
But blossoms continue to delight the birds and me.
The Sand Cherry continues to bring forth more blooms every day.
Also the Crab Apple Tree proves to be the ideal feeding station for all the feathered friends in the yard.
Is it any wonder that I so look forward to May and all the blooms that make themselves known.
