I did it this morning. Re potted the Christmas cactus into 13 pots. I then started down the street going from house to house explaining that they needed a new home. All are gone except for two. One for me and the other for Cindy. If she doesn’t want Shane will be up on Wednesday and I’ll give it to her. Visiting neighbors that I have never spoke to was a good experience. I got to chat with some very nice people.
While I was out working on the back of the truck this morning I tried to get a picture of the Goldfinches in action.. The new feeder allows for them to eat upside down which also keeps other birds out of it. It is facinating to watch them. At first I thought there was a mistake in the construction of the feeder and was about to return it to the store. Then I took time to read the box and found out what the design was about. Oh well RTFM!!!
The doorbell rang this morning and the man in the Brown Uniform (UPS) left this on my doorstep. It is a lovely mini Rose bush with six buds on it (not yet open) from Dar and Michael (my pseudo children). It looks like the blossoms with be a deep red. Thank you very much for your thoughtful Mother’s Day gift. I know I will enjoy it.
Speaking of Mother’s Day I read this on line yesterday and decided to share it with you.

Most of all the other beautiful things in life come by
twos and threes by dozens and hundreds. Plenty of
roses, stars, sunsets, rainbows, brothers, and sisters,
aunts and cousins, but only one mother in the whole
world. ~Kate Douglas Wiggin
