Saturday…..

...because of this my daughter-in-law Debra came up to ‘help me’ clean house.

Yes it is swollen.
Yes it hurts.
Yes I feel like finding a cheap chain-saw.

But Debra started up stairs and made everything clean and shiny without me.  The problem came later in the day when she tried to use my old Themax to shampoo the carpet in the living/dining room area.  It sprayed the carpet very well but it wouldn’t extract the water.  She had worked so hard all day that I let her go home.  I told her I would rent a cleaner for next Saturday and she said she would be back up to finish the job.

So for right now it looks like this in the living/dining area.  Every thing that can be moved has been pulled out from the walls.  Things have been picked up off the floor including Brandy’s toy box.  She is a little miffed with that.  It will stay this way until the carpet is done.

Now this is around an 80 or 90 mile round trip for Debra.  She has her own house to clean and doesn’t need to be cleaning mine.  But I didn’t move anything back in hopes of being able to clean it myself.  I think I have a solution and all will be better tomorrow.

Sunday night brought this into our life.

But it didn’t stay long and then the green of the grass came back.  Oh well it is Michigan, November, and anything can happen.

Hope all is going well with you and the holiday plans are being formulated.  Let me know how you are doing and what your Thanksgiving is looking like.
