The view from the deck this morning at 7 AM reminded me of our trip to California.  The mornings there were always ‘foggy like’ and I found it hard to believe that I was in the land of sunshine.  But by late morning all was cleared away and the heat was taking over.  Well it seems I can look forward to that type of day here in Michigan because our expected high is in the forecast as 70 degrees this afternoon.  Not quite CA weather but pleasant enough for me.

A quick trip to the market in Millington and I will be free to dig in the dirt this morning.  Cindy brought up a container of very sad Snapdragons that were dying of thirst on Sunday and asked me to try to save them.  For two nights now they have sat out in the rain and it looks like I might be able to plant them today.  I don’t expect the blooms to survive but to see some green leaves would be comforting.  Then next year they could do their thing again.  I also want to get the Hyacinth she gave me for mother’s Day in the ground.

I also have to clean up the porch near the kitchen (my front) door because I got a little sloppy re potting those plants last Saturday.  The kitchen floor is calling for a little damp mopping, bed sheets need changing, a tub of laundry is waiting, Why the spiffying up?  Why my ‘one legged’ barber-ette is coming to visit tomorrow and she has never seen the old home place before.  I may even get a haircut out of it!
