Company With Helping Hands!

A bridal shower in Davison brought the Jenkins and the Gokeys up to our house yesterday.  Everyone pitched in and gave me a hand while they were here.

Jay made an early lunch of burgers with chips to fill in until the girls left for the shower.

Daughter Cindy and grand daughter Courtney enjoying their burgers and conversation.

Hubby Jay and daughter-in-law Anne finishing their meal and joining into the conversation.

My girls were busy before they left with Courtney gathering up the outside bird feeders, helping me fill them, and then hanging them back in the tree.
Anne damp mopped the kitchen, utility, and bathroom floors.  Cindy vacuumed the dining, living, and bedroom floors.

Son Les with his sister Cindy at lunch.  After he worked on both Jay’s and my computer correcting some problems caused by a program change and others caused by us.

Son-in-law David , with Brandy, and Cindy spent a few moments together before she left. He then waited patiently to help me get some chores done.

David and I then went into Clio to ACO to pick up a flower pot for the Umbrella tree Les and Anne had previously bought me.  It was in a basket but with the weather changing I needed to put it in a pot to bring it inside. Our next stop was Radio Shack for a new cell phone battery.  Then finally to VG’s grocery store for some odds and ends.  I do like for David to take me because he, like Cindy, can put the wheel chair in the back of the truck and I can go in and look around.

Then it was back home where David helped me repot the plant.  He moved all three of the plants inside.

With them in the bay window they will get the light they need and Brandy can’t eat the leaves.  I found out last year that if they are placed on the floor Brandy will get into them.

Under Politics:  I must confess I put my ‘will work for food’ sign aside and listened to the VP debate.  The moderator was excellent asking intelligent questions, keeping the debaters within their time limits, bringing them back on target to the subject.  The debaters themselves answered with a minimal amount of going off subject.  Not near the type of thing I expected.

Jay is starting his sour kraut today so I thought I would show you his tools while they were pristine.

I have completed the edging of one of the two afghans I brought home from Pammies when I went down to the Doctors the other day.  I have time today to work on the lap robe as soon as I chase Molly out of the Lazy Boy!  My foot will appreciate that after the activities yesterday.  I’m going to visit a few blogs before I shut down now!  Have a great day!
