Momma’s delayed ‘cause she’s workin’ out.

Hi folks! Les here with a quick note to let you all know that Momma’s surgery went well, but she won’t be home for a couple more days yet. The doctors have decided she needs to work out a bit to build up some upper body strength before sending her home. Doesn’t do her any good to be home if she can’t lift herself out of her wheelchair.

At this point it’s looking like she’ll be back home sometime on Monday. I know she appreciates everyone who stops by and would you to know she’ll be back to blogging as soon as she can. I know she has a lot of regulars who drop by daily so if any of you feel like spending a few bucks on a long distance call to her would like her phone number at the hospital just and I’ll pass it along.

  2. Thank you for the kind words—yes I’m back home and if I ever get this wheelchair mastered then I’ll have a little more time to spend with you!!!

  3. I hope you are feeling better, and that you have a speedy recovery.

    Your jams were a hit last Thursday, by the way. My dad asked that I thank you for the little piece of Michigan we had with our Thanksgiving Dinner. It really was special for him.

    Thanks again, and get well soon!

  4. Hey there Spunky Lady!
    It’s great to see your smiling face! (and Brandy looks great, too!)
    Your ‘word’ (davenport) reminds me of a slightly risque song I learned in Jr. High school (allowing for my lack of singing abilities), here goes:
    (sung to the tune of “Harrigan”, if that’s familiar)

    D – A – VENP – ORT spells davenport;
    That’s the only place to have a date on-
    That’s the only place to stay up late on;
    D-A-VENP – ORT you see….
    It’s a hug, and a squeeze and a “Oh, Honey, Please!”
    DAVENPORT, for me!

    Now mind you, I’m positive, at the ripe old age of Junior High school, I really didn’t have a clue what that was ‘suggesting’, but I knew it was ‘suggestive’ and therefore ‘fun’ to sing! My new next door neighbor/girlfriend taught it to me and I’ve never forgot it. Who knew it would come in ‘handy’ all these years later!?
    BIG HUGS to you; SOooooooo glad you’re home!
    Love;
    Pammie
