Hello World! I made it! Today I reached the ripe old age of 78!! Me who never thought I would live pass 40! It has been a long row to hoe but the people I have met along the way have made the load a bit lighter. I can’t begin to thank my friends, family, even mere acquaintances for how rich they have made my life. The mistakes I have made have helped me to understand and make me manage my life a little better. I still believe I was meant to be here to reach out and grab any hand in need of help. Maybe not with money but at least with encouragement and support.
Wishing you a happy 78th birthday – now you are just 10 years older than me, although I shall hit 69 April 3rd! Well done, and you have indeed given lots of folk encouragement and pleasure from your lovely blogging! Marion at Liss Hampshire England. bitterly cold here and we have few more days of it as yet too.
Happy Birthday, Mary! May we still be blogging when you reach 100 and I am 99. Of course, they may have to prop us up and we will probably drool allover our lap tops, but knowing us, we will still be smiling. Lol
Happy Birthday Momma! Hope you had time to just enjoy yourself. Your blog makes me smile, laugh, and glad that your my daughters “other” Mom. So, Thank You.
Happy Birthday, ma’am! May you enjoy many, many more years to come.
All the best Momma…..Mary
Happy 36th Birthday, Momma. I will celebrate my 39th Birthday next month (born in 1939, ergo, I will be 39). Age is just a number, and an ache here, and a pain there, etc. After 50, everything that doesn’t hurt doesn’t work.
🙂
Peace
Happy Birthday Momma! Love you so much!
Already SANG your Happy Birthday wishes, but wanted to add that I’m one of those ‘reach out and grab a hand’ people you’ve touched. I still remember being happy as a clam in your living room folding baskets of clean clothes and just enjoying each other’s company all those years ago! Oh, and playing dominoes – never heard of a ‘bone yard’ before! Many, many more, my DEAR friend! LOVE YOU!!!
Hugs;
Pammie
Happy Birthday! You don’t know me, but I’ve been reading and sometimes commenting on your son’s blog for seven or eight years now. You must have done a great job raising kids, Les seems like a straight shooter and a real decent and honest fellow. I hope you had a great birthday, and many more to come.
By the way, I read your “About Momma”, and the pickled beets and cabbage relish sound wonderful. My Grandma did pickled beets every year too, but I hadn’t heard of canned cabbage relish. You learn something new every day!
Live long and prosper.
Happy Belated Birthday Momma, and many more!
cheers from sunny Vienna, zilch
