A Short One

Good morning on the 16th of October that is 37 degrees with a promise of 52 by  5 pm.  It forecasts to be sunny all day.  This is not warm enough to sit outside in the swing for long but I’ll brave it for a while.  I really should walk a couple of blocks also because I have been sitting too much.

I finished Dean Koontz’s The Silent Corner  this morning and will be getting his The Forbidden Door tomorrow.  This will put me back in sequence on the Jane Hawks Series.  I have found it to be  interesting.

Nothing going on worth talking about just the usual do chores,  fed the zoo, etc.

I feel pretty good, sleeping well, and still considering working on my ornament kits.

Onyx is out climbing today.

The November issue

This arrived yesterday in time for something to read.

Well I have to get a shower and get dressed so this will be a short visit.  See you later!

About Momma

Now 84-years-old on February 22 and I'm still on the right side of the grass.. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). I'm Grandmother of three. I have lived with my daughter for almost three years now and she hasn't kicked me out yet. I stay active with household chores, and feeding my zoo. (3 cats, 1 dog, and 2 birds.) Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. I do a little canning. I trained with the Michigan Bell Clown troupe and then I was a clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 80s, reading, birds, flowers, my pets, big cats, and of course blogging!

  1. I have some bead ornament kits on order from Mary Maxim. There is a girl at church, age for junior high, who is willing to put them together for me (and earn a bit of money), then I will include them for gift bags.
Meanwhile, I am crocheting a giant granny square to give for a Raffle.
This morning, I cleaned the toilet area of the bathroom. It seems that the whole room cannot get done at once, cuz I cleaned the sink and counter last week, and Husband does the shower as needed.
I still look at the Substitute List for Teacher Assistant, and take a Job now and then.
A new dishwasher appliance will be delivered in a week or so. Part for the current one was about 70% cost of buying new. Nothing is built to last it seems.
    ~~love and Huggs, Diane
