The 24th

Good afternoon.  Well Honey and I took our first walk today.  It was only 1/2 of a block but it  is a start.   For her it was a time to smell what the world outside her gate was like.  I well increase the distance a little at a time.  We also sat on the swing for a few minutes and she seemed to enjoy that also.  I’m going to have to have Chris come and mow because it is getting high enough for Honey to have to plow through it.

Just a short rest after our adventure.

As for me I’m surviving on things  I don’t have to chew.  It will a little less than a month before I will get get the impression for my lower denture.

Cindy and I have pretty well cleared away the decor for Easter but haven’t settled on what the  new theme will be.

On Easter Darlene and Micheal joined us for dinner.

Micheal and Darlene

With Micheal’s help it was Lasagna, and garlic bread. They also brought deviled eggs.

Our dessert was this cake.

It was a pleasant visit with Cindy, David, Darlene, and Micheal playing Rotten Apples While I rested afterward.  I just haven’t build up the stamina I need yet.

I’m  still working on Cassandra Clare’s Lord Of Shadows. About half way through it.

Outside is 58 degrees with a high of 60 was expected.

I think I’ll slip a little  nap now that no one else is up.  Have a great rest of the day.

About Momma

Now 85-years-old on February 22 and I'm still on the right side of the grass. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). I'm Grandmother of three. I have lived with my middle son for almost a year now and he hasn't kicked me out yet. I stay active with household chores and feeding my zoo. (2 cats, 1 dog, and 1 bird.) Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. I do a little canning. I trained with the Michigan Bell Clown troupe and then I was a clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 80s, reading, birds, flowers, my pets, big cats, and of course blogging!

  1. That lasagna looks really YUMMY! (and I’m ‘sure’ Dar really loved that you took her photo with her mouth full! HA!) Glad you had a nice visit – rest up with your ‘little lady’. HUGS!

  2. Building Stamina is a good thing. I’m told that I need to do more active moving.
But my favorite thing in all the world is to sit and listen to music with a crochet hook and yarn in my hands.

  3. Without Dar and Michael there wouldn’t have been a lasagna. I hurt my back prepping stuff and I was seriously ready to chuck the idea and order pizza, but Michael stepped in and saved me. It was a great Easter and so thankful for them.
