Today Is Halloween

That is great if you have scales and a tail.

Yep it is raining.   Soppy, cold, gray, nasty, wet with no sunshine, no dry sidewalks, no warm sunshiney feeling to enjoy on this holiday.  There are bags of potato chip in the hallway to  give out to the trick or treaters.  ( But how may will we see on a day like this?)

The trees are wearing their most stunning colors before losing their leaves.  No doubt Autumn is a lovely season to be in.  But soon it will be white, slippery, and cold.  An old broad like me will be stepping very carefully when I go outside.  ( I need a lesson on how to add pictures to my post again so I got to talk to Les because old women my age forget Sh** real easy!

Right now I have a bed to make, a few things in the sink to clear, and my coffee to enjoy.

Well my friend enjoy as much as you can of the holiday.

About Momma

Now 85-years-old on February 22 and I'm still on the right side of the grass. Mother of two sons and one daughter (Bloggers SEB and Cindyisms are two of them). I'm Grandmother of three. I have lived with my middle son for almost a year now and he hasn't kicked me out yet. I stay active with household chores and feeding my zoo. (2 cats, 1 dog, and 1 bird.) Retired after 29 years+ at Michigan Bell Telephone and ten+ years with The Oakland Press. I was active with the telephone company union and a Dale Carnegie graduate. I work at crocheting, knitting, making ornaments, and other projects. I do a little canning. I trained with the Michigan Bell Clown troupe and then I was a clown doing parades, parties, and picnics for about 15 years. My other passions are music from the 50s through the 80s, reading, birds, flowers, my pets, big cats, and of course blogging!

  1. As I’ve told my sons – EVERY halloween when I was a kid it RAINED – EVERY ONE! Oh well – so much for that. Hope you have fun seeing the little kids in their costumes! HUGS!

  3. Well it was cold, rainy, and sleeting for our annual Trunk or Treat event in Hamburg, Mi. Our Church sponsors the event with the local Fire dept and Police. I made it through One hour before getting frozen to the bone. Though I gave out 3/4 of my candy before I packed up and came home to warmth and a movie. Our ladies group prepared a funeral luncheon for a member of our christian family that afternoon. They said goodbye to a mother. So today Nov 1st I am exhausted and taking a little down time to rest. I did get out to the Sr. Center to get my annual flu shot. Dr. will be pleased on Nov. 7th when I show up for my annual exam.
