OH I have a terrible fever! I can’t seem to shake it! It isn’t like a headache or a pounding behind my forehead. No it is worse. I think you could call it a cabin fever!! Yes that is it.
It is March 1st and the road is still icy, the sun is shining, and I am thinking about trying to walk over and get the mail. The zoo is fed, the dishwasher loaded/ started, the laundry is running. I scrubbed the bathroom stool, made my bed, transferred the laundry, made more coffee, ate my oatmeal, took my pills, checked the inbox, located and filled the stapler, I’m getting good at figuring out where Cindy puts things.
A couple a more green things.
It is hard to believe it is March already. It won’t be long until I can get out the pad and sit in the swing again. I want to set up the bird feeder. I miss watching them.
Still reading Candice Fox & James Patterson’s Fifty Fifty. Haven’t decided if I can’t put it down or set it aside for later yet. Ok so I got cabin fever! Been getting some bothersome phone calls lately and am finding it hard to be civil!
Cindy has been extremely busy and I haven’t seen her or spoke to her in over a week. I miss her.
Well it is off to my room for a while. Have a great day.
The Camel that asks “What Day Is This” I’m asking what holiday!
Have you guessed it yet?
I have more for later!
Tomorrow is get the nails done day. Mine are so long I can’t accurately set the microwave. I have sometimes opened the door to see my coffee bubbling all over the plate . Messy Me!
Outside it is melting now. You are starting to see the sidewalks and the street looks dry in the middle. It is 16 degrees, cloudy, with an 8 mph wind. It isn’t go out and sit in the swing weather but it is better than it was.
Well I missed my breakfast so I guess lunch is cereal.
Have a great day and do something just for you!!
Today the sun is shining brightly with a very gentle breeze. This was not the case yesterday. The wind was 26 mph with some gusts. At 5:45 pm I rescued the big goose’s hat from the front yard fence. I then placed the goose in a corner of the back porch to keep it from blowing away. I also pick up a canvas chair that had blown into the front yard and tucked it in a corner of the back porch. Walking was a challenge because the snow had a thin cover of ice over it and it was snowing lightly.
Today the sidewalks are clear and I will walk out and get the mail. Got the mail after my session with Holly. Holly introduced a stretchy strip into the workout today. So now I have something new to work on. She also brought a medium size rubber ball. She said she would bring some more toys next time.
We started the new decorations for this coming month.
Still have some more to do,
I fixed one of my fleece jackets today. There was a spot on the sleeve.
More ways than one to skin a cat as they say!
That is ii for now!
How lucky I am. Some people never reach this stage in life.
This morning Cindy and David took me to IHOP for breakfast. I had a Belgium Waffle with strawberry syrup and sausage links on the side.
On the way home we stopped at Dairy Queen where Cindy bought an Ice Cream birthday cake for our supper. When we got home I accomplished a couple domestic goddess chores and started reading birthday greetings on the computer. There are so many that I saved some for later. ( Thank you everyone for your caring thoughts!)
I have an appointment with my physical therapist in another 15 minutes. Then I think I’ll rest for a while. I have enjoyed my birthday so far so I wish you a happy rest of the day!
I put away The Forbidden Door and started The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena . I finished that yesterday. It was one of those WOW when I closed it. I’m now back to Dean Koontz’s The Forbidden Door. I’m on page 178 so that should hold me until the next book comes in.
I also received the large print March Reader’s Digest magazine yesterday and have started reading that.
Yah!!! the garbage truck just came through and picked up our trash. Now I have to pull on my boots and go haul the cart back into the yard. ( I’ll be right back.) Ok got the trash cart back in the yard. Then pulled the first load of laundry out of the dryer and put it on my bed to fold and put away. The second load of laundry just went into the dryer! This is how my days usually go. One project at a time–one step forward.]
Well my friend I guess it is time to do my exercises for the day so I can show Holly that I’m working on them. Do be careful out there today.
Good Morning this is bunco night so the the fixings for the chip dip are on the kitchen counter waiting to be turned into yummy goodness.
I have an appointment with the physical therapist to work on my right arm between 2 and 4 pm today.
It is 23 degrees out right now with a high expected of 37 around 4 pm. It is clear and icy right now. Cindy bought 3 40 lbs. bags of salt yesterday that she and David spread part of it on the back inside walk. ( An anti ass busting move that was needed).
Well I had better make the dip before Onyx tries to eat the fixings. Be careful out there today. Love yah!
Another Valentines day. My message to you all is thank you for your help and kindness. I care and wish you all the hope and happiness you deserve,
Snow, Snow , Snow!
Earlier It was flakes the size of half dollars but they are a little smaller now. It hasn’t let up at all. I got out and dragged the trash cart to the road. It is between 3 1/2 and 4 inches deep which means dragged is not the lest bit untrue.
We had planned to have Chris come over to clear the driveway and walks but that has cancelled. ( Yes I know it is Winter but we could use a little bit of a break here.)
I have picked up my novel The Forbidden Door by Dean Koontz and started reading it again. I know the next sequel isn’t until May but I ran out of things to read.
You can see where I had dragged the trash cart out to the road.
Cindy has taken my truck to work today. (Good old four wheel drive). I plan on reading, doing Fill It In puzzles, and getting the laundry caught up. ( I sure ain’t going nowhere).
As you can tell by the date this happens a lot!]
Well it is time to check the washing to see if the next load should go in.
So stay safe and warm.
Yesterday I had a visit from the person who will schedule my physical therapy. This is to help my right arm and shoulder. I have to remember no heavy lifting on that arm. Just something else to make the day more interesting. But hey in 12 days I will be 84 and that is an accomplishment to be proud of.
I am still reading Shari Lapena’s A Stranger In The House. It is hard to put down and I have to remember I have other duties that must be done.
I have this feeling right now that I have to rest and that is getting in the way of accomplishing things that I do. Last night I woke up around 2 am read for an hour or so, did a couple of Fill It In puzzles then crawled back in bed. As a result I slept until 11 am this morning. Screwed my morning up royally. Now I have to get dressed and try to figure out my day. Take care and do what you have to do.
